MSG HD is Cablevision's HD Channel of the Day, As Part Of The Company's Continuing '45 Days in HD, on iO TV(SM)' Countdown
Bethpage, NY, January 24, 2008 -- Cablevision Systems Corp. today is recognizing MSG HD as its HD Channel of the Day, as part of the ongoing "45 Days in HD, on iO TV" countdown. Available to Cablevision's iO TV customers on channel 716, MSG HD offers New York sports fans exclusive coverage of the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New York Liberty, Buffalo Sabres, and New York Red Bulls along with a strong line-up of tri-state area college and high school sports. In addition, the network airs top quality original programming including the signature sports and entertainment program "MSG, NY" and a line-up of MSG Concerts and MSG Originals, including the critically acclaimed "50 Greatest Moments at Madison Square Garden," among many others.
During the countdown, Cablevision is recognizing each of the 45 high-definition services iO customers receive at no additional cost, including all nine local professional sports teams in HD. Unlike its satellite and phone company competitors, Cablevision does not impose additional fees and charges on customers who want to "see" in HD.

Prior to the Rangers game against the Atlanta Thrashers, the team will pay tribute to Brian Leetch, one of the all time great Rangers, by retiring his #2 to the rafters in Madison Square Garden, where he will join fellow Rangers legends Rod Gilbert, Ed Giacomin, and his 1994 Stanley Cup championship teammates Mike Richter and Mark Messier.
Beginning at 11:00 a.m., programming on MSG will be dedicated to celebrating "Brian Leetch Night", including:
11:00 a.m.: Eastern Conference Finals - Game 7: NJ Devils at NY Rangers (5/27/94)
1:00 p.m.: Stanley Cup Finals - Game 3: NY Rangers at Vancouver Canucks (6/4/94)

6:00 p.m.: "MSG Profiles: Ranger #2: Leetch"
6:30 p.m.: Brian Leetch Night Ceremony, "Forever a Ranger", hosted by Sam Rosen
Once the ceremony concludes, a special edition of "MSG Hockey Night Live" will begin. The show, hosted by Al Trautwig and Stan Fischler, will include interviews with Leetch and other Rangers legends attending the ceremony. Al will begin with interviews on-ice as soon as the ceremony ends, and then he will join Stan in the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden in front of a live audience.
